What we say
The original amusement park - right in the middle of the city
Denmark's premier tourist attraction and a must-see for every visitor. Open from April to September, and again at Halloween and Christmas, Tivoli is the original amusement park but with a big difference: it's right in the middle of the city. Classical concerts, 32 restaurants in every price category, rides, rock concerts on an open-air stage: there really is something for everyone.
In 2008, Tivoli successfully held its first 'Tivoli goes Gay' day - and it will happen again in 2009. As ever in Copenhagen, the straight visitors weren't bothered, and happy to join in the fun.

I tried Tivoli Gardens in the daytime with my partner, and it was fun... like a low-key old-fashioned amusement park. We returned that same night with friends and found the place much more interesting. It's really the night-time lighting that creates all the charm. There are lots of places to grab fast food, European-style. This is a very nice thing to do on a pleasant evening in Copenhagen.

Walt Disney was so inspired by Tivoli he decided to build Walt Disney World. If you go you'll see why.
So, what do you say?
