Grand Teater Movie Theater

(6 Ratings)
The Arthouse Movie Theater
Many Danish movies are top-class - think Babette's Feast or the Dogme movement. Still, foreign movies dominate the silver screens. And the advantage for visitors is that as Danes speak such good English, most English-language films are shown with subtitles rather than being dubbed. None of the 'Mein Name ist Bond, James Bond' you'll get in Germany. So you can happily go see a Hollywood blockbuster at one of the main movie theaters. Alternatively, try the smaller, cosier Grand if you're into more intellectual cinema. In 2006, it received the European Cinemas' award for best programming, beating over 600 cinemas in 30 countries.
