Amager Strandpark

(3 Ratings)
The closest beach to the city - man-made with real sand
Amager Strand (it means beach) is a man-made island about 2km long between the city and the airport. Reached by several bridges, you can cycle, walk or take a car. It forms a lagoon for surfing, kite-surfing, kayaking and other water sports. Very popular on hot days. It's so close to the airport, you could check-in early then still have time to go for a dip before your flight leaves!

I like it a lot - even outside the summer season

Gorgeous!

This beach amazing -- and extremely convenient to the city center via Metro. Not particularly gay, as everything is so integrated in Copenhagen, but definitely worth a visit on a warm summer day.
